That Kid Jayden. Go through Jayden Daniels’ journey from his decision to transfer to LSU all the way to winning the Heisman Trophy. The California cool quarterback led his team to 10 wins and a trip to the SEC Championship in his first year as a Tiger. He made the decision to return to LSU for one more season, and it paid off. The early morning film sessions, extra reps, and his hunger fueled a Heisman Trophy campaign and set the tone for another 10-win season.

🔼 Top Seed In Texas. The women’s golf team learned their NCAA Regional fate during yesterday’s selection show and they’re headed to Bryan, Texas! The Tigers took the No. 1 regional seed for the third time in four years. They’ll play at The Traditions Club, May 6-8. The top five teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship.

🔼 Run The Conference. LSU track & field dominated this week’s SEC weekly honors! Claudio Romero already won USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week, but he was also named SEC Field Athlete of the Week. Jaiden Reid was named Men’s Freshman of the Week. He finished third in the 100m and played a role in the nation-leading 4×100m relay time at LSU Alumni Gold last weekend. Trinity Spooner won Women’s Freshman of the Week honors after winning the javelin with the No. 3 mark in LSU history. The LSU women’s team came in at No. 1 once again in this week’s USTFCCCA Outdoor Rankings, while the men’s team are back at No. 3.

🔼 Swift In The Sand. LSU beach volleyball pairs continue to thrive in the weekly honors. Yali Ashush and Emily Meyer were named CCSA Pair of the Week! They went 4-0 at last weekend’s Palmetto Invitational on Court 5. They were both new additions to this Tiger team, and they seem to be meshing just fine.

🔼 Postseason Praise. Two women’s tennis players were honored in the SEC’s Women’s Tennis Postseason Awards yesterday. Aran Teixidó Garcia earned Second Team All-SEC going 11-8 at the No. 1-3 singles spots. She led the team with 12 doubles wins. Kenna Erickson was named All-Freshman after joining the team in January. She earned 10 doubles wins and went 10-8 in singles at No. 6.

🔼 She’ll Have An Arnold Palmer. Women’s golfer Latanna Stone will be representing the Red, White, & Blue for the fourth time at the Arnold Palmer Cup! LSU head coach Garrett Runion will lead the USA squad against the International team, while LSU assistant Alexis Rather will serve as an assistant. The Palmer Cup will be held July 5-7 at Lahinch Golf Club in Ireland.
